Udyam Registration or MSME Registration
Udyam Registration is a government-initiated process in India for the registration of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). It replaced the earlier system of MSME registration known as UdyogAadhaar.
Here are the steps to register for Udyam:
- Visit the Udyam Registration Portal: Go to the official Udyam Registration portal provided by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
- Enter Aadhaar Number: Enter your Aadhaar number and the name of the entrepreneur.
- Validation through OTP: An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar. Enter the OTP for validation.
- Personal Details: Fill in your personal details such as name, gender, category, and whether you are a Physically Handicapped (PH) person.
- Social Category: Choose your social category (General, SC, ST, or OBC).
- Physically Handicapped: If applicable, select whether you are a physically handicapped person.
- Name of Enterprise: Provide the name of your enterprise.
- Type of Organization: Select the type of organization (proprietorship, partnership, etc.).
- PAN Details: Enter your PAN details.
- Location of Plant: Provide the complete address of the enterprise including state, district, and PIN code.
- Previous Registration Details: If your enterprise was previously registered as an MSME, provide those details.
- Number of Employees: Mention the number of employees working in the enterprise.
- Investment in Plant and Machinery / Equipment: Mention the amount invested in the business.
- Bank Details: Enter your bank account details.
- Major Activity: Select the major activity (manufacturing or service).
- NIC Code: Choose the appropriate National Industrial Classification (NIC) code that corresponds to your business activity.
- Additional Details: Provide any additional details required.
- Submit and Generate Certificate: Review the information provided and submit the application. After verification, the system will generate an Udyam Registration Certificate.
- Download Certificate: Once the application is approved, you can download the Udyam Registration Certificate. This certificate serves as proof of your MSME registration.
